ABSTRACT
The article discusses guidelines that call for the early diagnosis of HIV in Great Britain. It references a report published in the October 1, 2009 issue of the journal "Clinical Medicine." The guidelines advocate HIV tests to be offered to people who access sexual health services, antenatal and abortion services and drug dependency programs, and healthcare services for people diagnosed as having tuberculosis, hepatitis B and C and lymphoma. Figures on HIV-positive people in Great Britain are given. Also noted are recommendations by health experts.
