ABSTRACT
The article reports that transporters in the town of Banff in Alberta are slowly converting their fleet to biodiesel/electric hybrid buses after Jason Hardy, the Airporter owner, started using biodiesel for transporting visitors between the Calgary International Airport and Banff. This combination of electric drive and biodiesel mechanical system is expected to cut greenhouse gas emissions by about 20 percent compared with conventional buses.
