The article reports on the choice of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community to use a U.S. stimulus loan program to provide part of the financing for a baseball spring training facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. It notes that the tribe will use the loan program rather than bonds offered under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. It indicates that the tribal loan program had a 10-million dollar limit for loans to infrastructure projects.
