ABSTRACT
The article discusses a study which examines the impact of a federally funded comprehensive abstinence-based program delivered to African American and Hispanic youth in the U.S. It notes that the goal of the program is to help youth understand the benefits, boundaries, and behaviors of healthy relationships needed to choose abstinence until marriage. Results of the study show that the church can play a transformational role in the lives of youth by providing comprehensive sex education.
