iPhone Attracts Plenty Of GPS-Related Apps

The article reports that the iPhone mobile phone from Apple is attracting new global positioning system (GPS)-related applications to the App Store of Apple. It is stated that more than 500 GPS applications were added to the store since June 17, 2009 when Apple enhanced the GPS capability of the iPhone. A review of several of these GPS applications is presented. ABI Research telematics and navigation practice director Dominique Bonte notes that the iPhone continues to beat all expectation in terms of location-based service (LBS) applications.
