Why the Stimulus FAILED

September 2009
National Review;9/7/2009, Vol. 61 Issue 16, p34
The article asserts that the 2009 U.S. economic stimulus plan introduced by President Barack Obama failed to keep the country out of recession and examines why it was unsuccessful. While most conservatives believe that slow spending of the introduced money is to blame for the economic decline, the author urges that federal expenditures will not revive an economy in any facility. The U.S. Great Depression of 1929 is referenced.
