ABSTRACT
The article presents news briefs of interest to librarians serving young adults. The Teens Top Ten, in which teens voice their choices of favorite books, takes place August 24-September 18, 2009 online at www.ala.org/teenstopten. Kim Patton has been elected vice president/president-elect of the Young Adults Library Services Association (YALSA). YALSA has named Laurie Cavanaugh of Brockton, Massachusetts, the winner of the Great Ideas contest.
