ABSTRACT
The article presents a valuation forecast for the Korean won against the Japanese yen for 2009. It is expected that the won will increase from its current level of 12.99 Korean won/Japanese yen to test resistance in the 12.70 Korean won/Japanese yen area. A corollary risk to the forecast is when foreign investors begin exiting the Kospi in order to capitalise in recent gains.
