ABSTRACT
The article presents an argument in support of the U.S. economic stimulus package of 2009. The author argues that government intervention will assist in economic recovery following the global financial crisis of 2008-2009. The effect of the stimulus package on job creation as well as on the U.S. physical, communications, and energy infrastructure. It is the author's opinion that the stimulus package will fund projects which will provide long-term benefits to the U.S.
