ABSTRACT
The article reports on the passage of the American Clean Energy and Security Act, a global warming bill, by the U.S. House of Representatives on June 26, 2009. According to Representative Henry Waxman of California, the said bill, if enacted, will promote the country's energy security and will create millions of clean energy employment that will help drive the country's economic recovery and growth. On the other hand, President Barack Obama has expressed his support for the said legislation.
