ABSTRACT
This article profiles the work of U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Christopher Hill, who faces diplomatic challenges as the U.S. begins to withdraw troops deployed in the 2003 Iraq War and the financial commitment of the U.S. to the reconstruction of the country declines. The experience that Hill brings to the challenge of limiting ethnic conflict and opening up opportunities for investment in Iraq is described.
