ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the impact of the global economic slowdown on the motion picture industry in Europe. It is stated that there is no sign of a slowdown on the European production market. According to official figures released by the European Audiovisual Observatory, there were 1,145 feature films produced in the European Union in 2008, which is up by 10.8% from a year earlier.
