ABSTRACT
The article reports that General Motors Corp.'s bankruptcy filing may hit two energy companies of Michigan, which include DTE Energy Co. and CMS Energy Corp. Jeff Holyfield, CMS director of news and information said that CMS Energy Corp. estimates that it may need to take a $3.8 million to $7.5 million write-off against revenue for what GM may owe utility Consumers Energy Co. The company also plans to pursue recovery of the write-offs in bankruptcy court.
