ABSTRACT
The article discusses U.S. President Barack Obama's handling of the global financial crisis which began in 2008. It is said that the passage of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009, in the face of intransigent opposition from the Republican Party, serves as evidence of his clear leadership. Whether the policies Obama has promoted will actually mitigate the crisis, however, remained uncertain.
