ABSTRACT
This article provides information on the National Assessment of Educational Progress long-term trend assessments in the U.S. This assessment tracks education progress of students ages 9, 13 and 17 since the early 1970s. Its format, content and procedures were revised in 2004 to upgrade content and provide accommodations to students with disabilities and English language learners.
