ABSTRACT
The focuses on the opportunities of petroleum companies to take advantage on new oil and gas exploration development in the Arctic Circle given the global warming. Petroleum companies will find it easier to transit the area given the climatic conditions. Some of the companies that have projects successfully going on in the region includes Snohvit, StatoilHydro ASA, and Shell Group.
