ABSTRACT
This article discusses the reasons for naming the Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. The positions that Lieberman has taken in dealing with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict are framed in terms of his militarism and hostility to international efforts at fostering agreement. The response of Lieberman to the threat of Iran, which the author believes is a more prominent foreign policy issue for Israel, is also addressed.
