TiVo Inks Blockbuster Deal

This article reports that TiVo, a U.S. provider of services for its TiVo-branded digital video recorder (DVR), will begin offering Blockbuster OnDemand video content through Series 2, Series 3, TiVo HD and TiVo HD XL DVR in the second half of 2009. As part of the deal, TiVo DVR will be sold at Blockbuster stores as well as online, and the companies will collaborate on a cross-marketing campaign. Comments from Blockbuster chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) Jim Keyes regarding the deal are included.
