ABSTRACT
The article reports on the outputs of two workshops held in Russia in 2007 to train botanic garden workers in developing and enforcing recovery programmes. According to the article, one of its output is the completion of a manual that offers methodological guidance on all phases of the preparation and implementation of species reintroductions. Another is the implementation of two pilot threatened species reintroduced projects.
