ABSTRACT
The article presents news briefs related to environmental law in Great Britain. The Energy Bill comprises the provisions needed to implement energy policy. The Planning and Energy Bill would provide local planning authorities in England and Wales to impose reasonable requirements concerning the amount of on-site and near-site renewable energy. The British government is committed to promoting nuclear power as a low-carbon energy source.
