This article reports that Fallbrook Technologies has successfully raised $25.4 million in a first round of venture financing deal. NGEN Partners and Robeco, the investment unit of Netherlands-based Rabobank, led the funding deal. According to Chief Executive Bill Klehm, the funding will help Fallbrook boost the commercialization of its transmission technology which is already being used by bicycle manufacturers in the U.S. and Europe. The transmission technology can improve the battery life and range in electric vehicles, Klehm says.
