ABSTRACT
The article discusses the move carmakers to cut costs of their automobile shows as a response to continuing global recession. Ford, Chrysler and General Motors have cancelled their shows at the Tokyo automobile show in October 2009. Several carmakers may scale back their participation. The Detroit automobile show was the first casualty of this trend.
