Focuses on the study of methane deposits that exist under the floor of the ocean and how the methane is absorbed by microorganisms. Speculation that methane-consuming archaea and sulphate-reducing bacteria prevent the methane from reaching the atmosphere; Studies regarding the use of methane for energy and how it has contributed to global warming; Research conducted on the amounts of methane beneath the sea floor and on the process that prevents it from reaching the atmosphere.
