ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) appeals board to review the approval of an air permit for a proposed coal-fired power plant on the Navajo Nation in Arizona. It notes that carbon dioxide emissions will not be part of that process. The EPA board intends to hear oral arguments after allowing the parties to file additional briefs. It cites the reasons behind the opposition to the proposed power plant on the Navajo reservation.
