ABSTRACT
The article presents an overview on the global oil market. The second quarter of 2008 taught oil market observes several lessons, these include the less impact of supply and demand on the direction and level of crude prices. Meanwhile, the over-dependence to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) as a crude supplier is believed to be even more dangerous, while the point at which oil price impact is damaging to global economic growth, is higher than had been thought.
