ABSTRACT
The article explores the relationship between oil and gas prices. An analysis of Henry Hub natural gas and crude oil prices by Black & Veatch suggests that actual natural gas prices can be either below or above the price predicted by its relationship with oil and that a sustained period of the divergence in one direction tends to be followed by a period of adjustment in the other. It concludes that market forces such as the vast aggregation of buyers and sellers with each acting according to their best interest spurs the relationship.
