ABSTRACT
Chapter X of the book "Jane Eyre," by Charlotte Bronte is presented. It explores the investigation concerning the origin of the typhus in Lowood. When it was found out that the origin of the typhus is the unhealthy environment of the school, new regulations and improvements on the school were initiated. Changes in the administration of school following the improvements and marriage of Maria Temple are also discussed. Eyre's employment as a governess in Thornfield is also tackled.
