Air Products, Showa Denko Extend Venture

The article announces the plan of Air Products and Showa Denko to extend their 10-year production joint venture, Showa Denko Air Products (SDAP), for etch and chamber cleaning products by building a production facility to manufacture hexafluoride butadiene in Kawasaki, Japan. The plant is expected to be completed in the first half of 2009. According to Corning Painter, vice president and general manager of electronics for Air Products, the investment will help Air Products increase its security of supply.
