The article reports that Bill Gates, founder of philanthropic organization the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, has publicly asked United States president Barack Obama and Congress to expand support for education. Gates said that just because the country is going through an economic recession does not mean policy makers should reduce funding for education.
