ABSTRACT
The author describes the situation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth in the U.S. in 2008. She says that children with Parents Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) are not free from dealing with homophobia, depression and bullying at school. She also mentions that some children are lucky to have LGBT Youth Centers and Gay Straight Alliance (GSA). Also stressed is the importance of affirmation of identities and feelings for LGBT youth.
