ABSTRACT
This article presents the results of a classroom experiment introducing a journal club experience into the undergraduate curriculum to better prepare students to read and critically evaluate scientific literature. The need for an alternative approaches to long-term research projects is dictated by the cost associated with such research projects. These alternative approaches should offer similar learning and experiential program that long-term research projects offer. According to the author, a journal club can offer students valuable experience that can equip them with the ability to read and critically evaluate scientific literature.
