ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the various initiatives being done by the U.S. Army to reduce energy consumption. It states that the U.S Army encourage other people to use alternative fuels and renewable energy sources to reduce energy consumption. It also mentions the projects of the U.S. Army including the construction of a 500-megawatt solar thermal power plant at Fort Irwin, California, one of Southern California top energy consumers.
