ABSTRACT
The article presents an assessment of the collective physical health of the U.S. population and its health care system. The author cites some of the national statistics including numbers for obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure, and notes how the U.S. health care system works by focusing on treating illness rather than preventing it.
