ABSTRACT
The article reports on the recognition made by "Motor Trend" magazine to the 2009 Subaru Forester as the sport utility vehicle of the year. The vehicle displays comfort on the road, competency off the pavement, and fuel efficiency in a time of high fuel prices. It is stated that the award has come from a field of 13 finalists made up of car-based crossover vehicles. It has won the contest because of its value, versatile powertrains, and fuel efficiency.
