ABSTRACT
The article discusses the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2007. Claire Ingleby, MB Law partner, said that the legislation would be introduced next year in a bid to harmonize trading laws across the European Union. The legislation will focus on companies guilty of misleading actions, omissions, and aggressive commercial practices. Companies that are members of trade organizations such as the Association of Independent Tour Operators will be legally bound to comply with the associations' regulations, or face the penalty.
