ABSTRACT
The article presents information on relations between the U.S. and Malawi. It states that the transition of Malawi from a one-party state to a multi-party democracy strengthened the relations between the two countries. Through diplomatic representatives and periodic visits by senior officials, the two countries maintain a continuing dialogue. Also discussed is the foreign assistance program of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Malawi.
