ABSTRACT
The article presents a profile of business entrepreneur Dan T. Moore. Moore owns an empire of 11 companies that operate under the umbrella Dan T. Moore Co. and which do everything from making helmets for U.S. soldiers to produce sound- and vibration-absorbing parts for automobiles. Moore worked for a brief stint at BP, then known as Standard Oil of Ohio, or Sohio. In the early 1970s he formed his first company, a manufacturer's representative agency that sold paint and sealants.
