ABSTRACT
The article reports that scientists have discovered how to make stem cells from skin, potentially solving the ethical problems associated with obtaining stem cells from embryos. Scientists led by Shinya Yamanaka of Kyoto University in Japan discovered four genes which turned human skin cells into stem cells.
