ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the phrase "the Spirit of the Father" found in the gospel of Matthew for a fuller pentecostal pneumatology. Instructions given to the twelve apostles at their commissioning are evaluated through the opinion of several pentecostal theologians. The fatherhood of God is explored in several bible verses and pinpointed as pivot to the mystery of the Trinity. The missionary dimension of the phrase is explained as promised for those commissioned to preach the good news.
