ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the concept of thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving festival is traced according to legend which was done to thank God for the harvest. Thanking God is explained as an ancient Christian concept. The origin of the word Eucharist is presented as coming from the Greek "Eucharistia," meaning giving thanks to God.
