ABSTRACT
The article reports that Blockbuster will benefit from rental and sellthrough of physical DVDs. According to company chief financial officer (CFO) Thomas Casey at an investor conference in New York, the short-term performance of the company will depend on DVD sales while the future of Blockbuster will benefit from the digital business. Total net revenue in-store per square foot of the company went up by 13.8% percent in 2008.
