ABSTRACT
The article reports development concerning the prices of most resins marketed in China for the month of August 2008. Both the Sinopec Group and CNPC have decreased their ex-factory prices of polythelene (PE) because of the slack demand for PE. The price of polyvinyl chloride has likewise dropped due to the supply surplus in domestic market. Moreover, the price of polystyrene (PS) has likewise dropped due to the price drop of styrene monomer and the soft demand for PS in downstream sectors.
