ABSTRACT
The article discusses the benefits of sex therapy. An example is given of a Stephen Braveman, himself a practicing sex therapist, who suggested to his wife they needed sex therapy. Sex, which has both emotional and psychological aspects in addition to physical ones, is impacted by an individual's upbringing. What brings couples to sex therapy is a diverse set of causes such as mismatched sexual desire or past abuse. Topics include ways therapists coach couples and the benefits of sex therapy.
