ABSTRACT
The article reports on the survey conducted by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on the producer price index (PPI) in the U.S. in 2008. The survey showed that inflation worsened at the wholesale level as the government's PPI for finished goods increased 1.2% in July. It states that there are price increases for finished consumer foods from 1.4% to 0.3%.
