ABSTRACT
The article presents a political outlook for North Korea. It states that the short-term political risk rating for the country is stable at 79.0, which reflects expectations of broad continuity while long-term rating of 55.1 reflects the inherent weakness of a totalitarian regime of the country. Analysts reveal that North Korea, by theories, aims to attract more foreign investment and has attracted at least some interest from frontier Western investors.
