ABSTRACT
The article discusses the need of redefining conservation in the face of rapid environmental changes. It states that scientists are divided in their opinions, one set of them believe in a radical shift in thinking about the role of conservation advocating to work with the change. Others plead that for protecting biodiversity and preserving the genes of endangered species, adaptation and nurturing of cross-breeds have to be acknowledged.
