ABSTRACT
The article reports that the status of Vice President Xi Jinping of China as heir apparent has furthered as he enters on his first foreign trip in Pyongyang, Korea since becoming deputy head of state. It has been claimed that the vice president will face tough negotiation in his mission of making Kim Jong-Il committed to remove North Korea's nuclear capacity. It is noted that he was sent by Hu Jintao to ensure that Kim Jong-Il will not deceive them when the Six-Party Talks resume.
