ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the Elk River Station project in the U.S. The facility now has the USS Elk River Personnel Transfer Capsule (PTC) on water near the habitat Aquarius. It is bolted to the seabed via the seven-foot-tall tower. According to the article, the Elk River Station will begin its life at the mouth of the Scott Carpenter Basin near the Kamper and Koblick stations. The article also reports that the dry PTC will be used in conjunction with the Aquarius habitat programs. The opening of the said project was signed over to the Marine Resources Development Foundation for display.
