ABSTRACT
The article offers tips on how poultry farmers and egg producers can prepare for the new salmonella control regime in Great Britain. The salmonella species that farmers should target is Salmonella enteritidis and Salmonella typhimurium bacteria. To prepare for the new regime, it is important to maintain a high standard of biosecurity. It is also suggested by Rob Davies of the Veterinary Laboratories Agency that notices explaining procedures should be put into place, as well as the installation of a doorbell system to stop visitors entering the house.
