ABSTRACT
The article reports that the regional development agency (RDA) is to help more than 2,000 Northern Rock Staff who will lose their jobs following the stricken bank's downsizing in Great Britain. Chief executive Alan Clarke explains that the decision by RDA to help is conceived when the new management of the bank announced its plan to reduce its services to pay off £25 billion public loan. He also adds that Jobcentre Plus and the Learning and Skills Council will help provide jobs for them.
